Forty millimeters scares people with 6.5-inch wrists. It shouldn't, not this one. The Datejust wears close to the case, the lugs curve down early, and the Jubilee bracelet does the rest—five-link, supple, it wraps and follows the wrist instead of bridging across it. On a smaller arm that flexibility is the whole game. A rigid bracelet floats; the Jubilee drapes.
The champagne dial keeps the size in check too. Warm and low-contrast under the yellow-gold fluted bezel, it doesn't shout its diameter the way a stark black-and-steel dial would. The two-tone reads dressier than a plain steel Datejust, so it leans dress-up: under a cuff, with a jacket, at dinner. But the steel center links pull it back from formal. Roll the sleeves and it still makes sense.
