The number on the spec sheet says 40mm, but that isn't how this one lands on the wrist. The lugs on the GMT-Master II are short and turn down early, so the case sits close instead of hanging over the edge. On a 6.5-inch wrist it reads as a full watch without covering the whole wrist bone. Smaller wrists that usually skip 40mm should try this one before deciding.
The Jubilee helps. Five-link, supple, it wraps and follows the wrist rather than bridging flat across it, so the head stays centered and doesn't slide. Fine adjustment in the clasp handles the swing between a cold morning and a warm afternoon.
Steel and yellow gold gives you two watches. The black dial and gray-black ceramic bezel keep it quiet under a cuff for work; the gold center links catch light when the sleeves come up. Wears well year-round, a little dressier than an all-steel GMT.
